Questions & answers about applying and starting a job

How should I write my application?

In our SugarShape Family, we are all on a first-name basis – and you are welcome to do the same in your application. We are passionate about our work and of course want to know why you are the right addition to our team. That's why your application should include a letter of motivation.

When will I receive an answer from you?

Your application will be reviewed by us and then checked with the relevant department. Don't worry, this process can sometimes take a while, but you will definitely receive feedback from us. Depending on the circumstances, we will then get to know you as soon as possible or, if necessary, we will talk to you on the phone beforehand.

What should I wear?

We don't have a dress code. So just wear what you feel most comfortable in for our introductory meeting (like we do).

Where are your locations?

We have two locations. Our headquarters are located at the Hamburg-Harburg inland port (in the so-called "Channel") and our logistics center is in Lüneburg. In Harburg you will find our founders, customer service, marketing, product development, business development and e-commerce team, as well as the finance and HR departments.

What are your working hours and home office arrangements like?

Our team particularly appreciates our flexible working hours. Our Hamburg team currently meets in the office at least two days a week to exchange creative ideas. Our core working hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and our customer service is always staffed from at least 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Do men also work for you?

Yes, even though they are clearly outnumbered, we value our men very highly. We believe in the success of mixed teams and are always happy to receive male applicants.

What is the onboarding like at your company?

No matter which department you start in: On your first day, you can expect a warm welcome, an onboarding program and personal contacts who are always on hand to help and advise you. It is important to us that you quickly get to know the internal connections. That's why all new team members always visit our logistics center as part of their onboarding.
