1. wash regularly
A bra has a full-time job to do, often several days in a row. Change bras at regular intervals to give the materials a break. Any odors will dissipate if the garment is aired out from time to time. The bra does not need to be washed immediately after each wear, which is also good for the material and the environment.
2. sort by color
Sort your bras by color before washing and only wash bras of the same color together. This prevents the fabrics from discoloring during the wash.
3. hand wash
We recommend washing your bras carefully by hand at approx. 30-40°. This puts less strain on the fine and delicate fibers. This is gentler on your bra than washing it in the washing machine. We cannot guarantee the latter.
4. use a laundry net
When washing in the machine, you should always use a laundry bag and close the fastener of the bra so that the hooks cannot get caught in the fine fabric or the washing machine. Ideally, you should turn the bra inside out to wash it. Try to avoid the cups lying inside each other. In the washing machine, please only wash on a gentle cycle. We do not accept any liability for machine washing.
5. use mild detergent
When washing your lingerie, only use liquid mild detergent or special detergent for microfiber, which cares for the fabrics and preserves the color. Do not use shampoo, as this can destroy the color of the bra. Avoid using fabric softener.
6. no spin cycle
Only select a program in your washing machine with as few spin cycles as possible, such as the hand wash cycle or a delicate wash cycle, as high pressure is exerted on the underwires during the spin cycle and they can then be pushed out of the ironing tunnel. Please never put bras in the dryer!
7. stretch the fabric
After washing, pull the underwire tunnels long so that the underwire retains its freedom of movement. For preformed cups, such as the Pure cup braIf necessary, pull the front edge of the cup back into shape so that the cup retains its shape.
8. always dry
Bras should always be dried open and not stored wet or damp in the underwear drawer. Otherwise there is a risk that the laundry will start to smell unpleasant. It is best to lay the bras out to dry on a clothes horse. Avoid drying in the tumble dryer.
9. storage
It's best to store your lingerie in a drawer, one after the other. Padded bras can simply be laid out in rows and the cups always placed on top of the cups of the previous bra. Simply store unpadded bras and bralettes on top of each other. Always make sure that the hooks or rings don't get caught in the fabric or press into the cups.
10. extra tip
For white laundry with gray stains, it helps to add a sachet of baking soda to the laundry. For more stubborn stains, you can also dissolve a little baking soda in lemon juice and rub it into the stains. Leave the mixture to work for 1-2 hours and then wash the bra. And you can get a grip on excess color in dark and colored laundry with a vinegar water bath. Simply leave the bra to soak for a while and then rinse it clear.
